Edward C. Haight, Ph.D., PE,
Ed Haight founded the predecessor firm of Edward C. Haight, PhD, PE, P.C. in 1993, and is currently of counsel to the firm Haight Davis & Associates, Inc.
Ed was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1963 and a Masters Degree in Engineering Mechanics in 1965. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Mechanics from Georgia Tech in 1969. Prior to practicing engineering full time, he owned residential and commercial building and development companies for 17 years. He has testified in over 250 construction-related disputes. He also serves as an arbitrator and mediator for construction cases. Although officially retired, Ed continues to provide essential business advice and engineering wisdom to the engineers and interns within the company.
Ed tends his wine grape vineyard and bee hives in western North Carolina and builds furniture and other woodworking projects when the sun is not shining.
